A spy appears to have given false coordinates to the RAF (Royal Airforce) in World War II. An attack hits Maastricht directly in the heart. Your team faces a mission, to save Maastricht from an enemy attack. Take on the role of a secret agent. In the underground corridors of the Casemates, you and your teammates will search for secret underground rooms, in the same corridors that were used in the past, during a siege of the city, to approach the enemy underground and render them harmless.

FAQ
-
Is this a suitable team-building activity?
Absolutely! Your group will be divided into teams of 4 to 6 people. You can organize this yourself in advance or leave it to our guide on site. Once there, you’ll assign roles within the team: who is better at reading maps, deciphering codes, taking the lead, or keeping up the team spirit if things get tough?
-
Is there a competitive element?
Yes! Each team plays its own game, but which team will complete the mission fastest?
-
Is it a complicated game?
Yes and no. The game is based on escape-room-like challenges but takes place in an actual historic tunnel system. There’s a main mission that’s easier to complete, designed for everyone to enjoy. There are also two optional, more challenging side missions that can boost your final score. These side missions add difficulty for experienced escapers and puzzle-solvers. Even die-hard escapers will find the historical setting engaging.
-
Do we need to run or crawl?
No. The only physical challenge is the amount of walking involved. You’ll certainly reach your 10,000 steps on the day of the game.
-
How many assignments are there?
There’s one main mission and two optional side missions.
-
Is the game suitable for those with limited mobility?
No, as there’s considerable distance to cover, and the terrain can be uneven.
-
Is the game suitable for those with claustrophobia?
In our experience, claustrophobia varies widely. The tunnels are 1.80 meters high and about a meter wide. You’re never truly confined and are always with your teammates.
-
Do we need to bring flashlights?
The tunnels are lit, but a flashlight (or a well-charged smartphone) is recommended for reading clues and instructions.
-
Are there any jump scares?
The game is not a haunted house with intense jump scares, but you may encounter an “agent” in the tunnels. If you really don’t want anyone to surprise you, please let us know in the booking comments.
-
My group is smaller than 20 people; can I still book?
The minimum payment is for 20 people, but Mission Underground can be played with as few as 2 people.
